Xenon - Spore Insect Investigation

Xenon looks away from the Acid Insects and turns his attention to a nearby Spore Insect. As he watches it, the corners of his mouth slowly curl upward.

"At first, I thought it might be related to the Acid Insect."

When he prods the Spore Insect with a stick, it releases a cloud of spores.

"Creatures coated in those spores are injured far more easily than normal. Yet they aren't poison or acid."

He hurriedly scribbles several lines in his notebook.

"The same type of insect, yet it hunts by an entirely different method... Beautiful."

A moment later, he tears out a note and hands it to you.

"Investigate the Spore Insects further. I want to know exactly what those spores are."

When you accept the note, he nods with satisfaction.

"Good. This should be enough to test my hypothesis."

He turns back to the Spore Insect and murmurs to himself.

"How can such tiny spores weaken a living creature so severely...?"

Already seeming to have forgotten your presence, he immerses himself in observation once more.
