Water Magic units can summon creatures (Bubblelings and Bubbletoads). A summon's power scales off the summoner's Magic Attack Power at the moment of the summon rather than being a fixed statline.
At a glance
Scaling formulas
- Summon Max HP = (summoner's Magic Attack Power x 1) + the summon's base HP
- Summon's own Magic Attack Power = (summoner's Magic Attack Power x 0.5) + the summon's base Magic Attack Power
So a summon inherits the summoner's full Magic Attack Power into its health pool and half of it into its own attack. The game reads the summoner's value at spawn. When a save loads, it computes the creature's stats again from the summoner's current Magic Attack Power.
Base values by creature
Both summons carry the same base statline in this build, so the difference between them is their skills, not their numbers.
| Summon | Base HP | Base Magic Attack | Spawned by a mage with 80 Magic Attack Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 | 50.7 | 380 HP / 90.7 Magic Attack | |
| 300 | 50.7 | 380 HP / 90.7 Magic Attack |
Ability scaling
A buff active on the summoner at the moment of the summon is banked into the creature and kept after the buff ends. Buffing the summoner after the spawn does not change an existing summon, but a save loaded after the buff ends recomputes the summon without it.
Spawn state and leash
Summons are leashed to about 5 tiles from their summoner.
