Xenon - Acid Insect Investigation

A masked figure stands beside a wooden cage filled with insects. After observing the Acid Insects trapped within for some time, he begins writing something down.

Beside him, a cat merely glances in your direction, showing little interest.

You make your presence known as you approach, but the man seems far more interested in the insects than in you. Without even turning around, he points toward the Acid Insects.

"They spit acid, yet their own bodies don't dissolve. Fascinating, isn't it? If I could observe a few more living specimens, I think I might discover how it works..."

He casually tears a page from his notebook and hands it to you.

"Find some Acid Insects and investigate them for me. I only need the results."

When you nod, he turns back to the Acid Insects without any visible excitement.

Watching one of them move, he murmurs to himself.

"What process produces that acid...?"

He resumes taking notes and appears to lose all interest in you.
