Biography
After long hours watching candle flames waver and ripples spread across cups of water, (unit name) came to believe that unseen currents moved through the world. They copied spells from old books and tested that belief by holding small embers and cold winds at their fingertips. Yet because they tried to understand everything through reason, they often fell into thought before they found their words.
(unit name) spent a long time recording the soot and frozen droplets left behind by failed spells. Fire spread when rushed, wind slipped from the hand when forced, and earth did not readily answer those who hurried. The caution learned that way helped them control power, but it also made them overly careful when faced with unfamiliar situations.
Having learned the power of the elements, (unit name) reacted first to changes that made no sound. They read the moment the air shifted in temperature and the faint sign of dry earth cracking, and even a small tremor of magic was enough for them to sense danger. As the years passed, they grew more used to watching the flow around them than reading the faces of people.
