Inscription of Death Throes
Damage Dealt increases proportionally to lost Current Health, up to a maximum of 20%.
How the math works
Bonus = (your missing HP / your max HP) x 20, added as percentage points of Damage Dealt Bonus. Strictly linear, and the ratio itself bounds it at 20.
Where it lands: It lands in the additive damage dealt bracket of the hit, which is then multiplied by the critical multiplier.
When it runs: Before the hit is calculated, in the phase where effects adjust the attacker's stats.
What it applies to: Every damage execution the wearer originates. There is no melee, physical or basic-attack gate at all.
Worked numbers
| Your missing HP (%) | Damage bonus | Normal hit | Critical hit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0% | 150 | 225 |
| 25 | 5% | 157.5 | 236.2 |
| 50 | 10% | 165 | 247.5 |
| 75 | 15% | 172.5 | 258.8 |
| 90 | 18% | 177 | 265.5 |
| 99 | 19.8% | 179.7 | 269.5 |
150 physical attack power, a 100 percent coefficient basic attack, target at 0 resistance, critical damage bonus at the default 50 percent.
Rule of thumb: Every 10 percent of your own missing HP is +2 percentage points of damage.
Things the tooltip does not tell you
- It reads your own HP, not the target's.
- It is additive with the other damage dealt bonuses, so stacking several of them gives less than each one promises on its own.
How it interacts with other effects
- It pools with Heavy Plumb, Challenge, Crumble and Sinking in the same additive bracket.
