Biography

VARIANT 1

Only after everyone had gone to sleep did (unit name)'s patrol begin. Carrying a dim lantern, they walked through alleys and beneath the walls, checking the gaps under closed doors and the dark rooftops one by one. Because of that, they grew more used to the quiet footsteps of night than to the noise of day.

VARIANT 2

(unit name) walked the same route again and again every deep night. They checked cold hearths, listened for arguments behind taverns, and fought off sleep until the dawn bell rang. As the years passed, they began to notice strange silences first, even on quiet streets.

VARIANT 3

As a night watchman, (unit name) never ignored a shadow moving in the dark. They searched rain filled alleys and the backs of warehouses, trying to catch signs before trouble began rather than after it happened. But after spending so many long nights keeping watch alone, they were often slow to join conversations in brighter places.
