Biography
Each dawn, (unit name) tightened the ropes on the wagon bed and judged the road by the sound of the wheels. They grew used to pushing wheels out of mud, oiling creaking axles, and getting people and supplies where they needed to be on time. After so long on the road, staying in one place for too long made their body feel stiff.
Whenever (unit name) entered a remote mountain pass, they checked the wagon cover and the horse's reins again. On winding roads and paths near the forest, they first looked for places where bandits might hide, and when night travel could not be avoided, they even tried to quiet the wheels. Because of that habit, footsteps behind them easily caught their attention even on ordinary journeys.
As a carter, (unit name) spent their life on the road between markets, inns, checkpoints, and ferries. When the horse tired, they let it rest, and when a wheel spoke came loose, they fixed it by the roadside, carrying the cargo to its destination one way or another. As the years passed, they came to think first of arrival times and remaining distance before the faces of people.
