Talents & Stat Growth
Every unit has six major stats - Strength, Constitution, Willpower, Intelligence, Agility and Perception - and a separate talent rating for each one. The talent rating decides how much that stat grows each time the unit levels up. Ratings run across five tiers:

The exact gain is rolled randomly inside the tier's range at each level-up, then multiplied by your offering choice: Least x1.0, Ordinary x1.2, Plentiful x1.5. So a Genius stat with a Plentiful offering can gain up to 10-11 points in a single level.
Major stats then feed derived (final) stats by a flat per-point amount shown in-game as "Per Stat +X". For example, each point of Strength adds +1.0 Physical Attack Power and +4.0 Max Weight. Physical Attack Power also draws on Agility and Perception (+0.5 each per point) on top of a base value, so it is not Strength-only. Constitution feeds Max Health and physical resistances; Willpower feeds Max Energy and status resistances; Intelligence feeds Magic Attack Power and magic resistances; Agility feeds movement speed, attack speed and dodge; Perception feeds critical and hit chance. (A parallel internal "x0.02" growth model exists in the data but is an unused placeholder - the live model is the flat per-point one.)
The Legendary Inscription of Perfection bumps every talent up one tier (capped at Genius), which is why it compounds so well over a full 12-level career.
The Research Lab raises a unit's Research capability by room quality: roughly +30% (Poor) up to +150-210% (Fantastic/Luxurious) tiers, speeding up research work.
